Get Back On Track

For awhile now I have noticed that my car sometimes veers off to one side and I would have to take control of my steering wheel to get it back on track.

The other day I went to go get my oil changed and the macanic told me that it was time for some new tires, which I was aware of. He said that after I get my tires I would need to come back and get an aligment because my car was off balance really bad, which was causing my front tires to tread from the inside out and not the outside in. He said if I didn’t get them done soon, they could blow out on me at any moment, which is dangerous. I knew I needed some tires, but  I had no idea that my tires were that bad. So I went the next day to get them replaced.

“No matter how out of line you think your life maybe, you can always get back on track. Pull yourself over, get yourself together and reroute”

Today’s Word

a-lign-ment  Scriptures

  1. Arrangement or position in a straight line or in parallel lines.
  2. The process of adjusting parts so that they are in proper relative position.
  3. The condition of having parts so adjusted.
  4. The act of aligning or the condition of being aligned.

Luke 13:10-17 “The Cripple Woman Made Whole”

Here this woman had no name, there was no talk about her past life. All we know is that she had been bent over for 18 years and the Lord healed her of her infirmities.

Sometimes in life we can become so accustom to our condition that we accept it as the norm. We may not be physically bent over, but over a period of time our spirit man has become crippled on the inside and unable to lift itself up.

Psalm 119:133-136

“Order my steps in thy word: and let not any iniquity have dominion over me. Deliver me from the oppression of man: so will I keep thy precepts. Make thy face to shine upon thy servant; and teach me thy statutes. Rivers of waters run down mine eyes, because they keep not thy law”

Have you ever felt a little off balance or maybe a little discombobulated?  To be honest I have felt that way recently. I didn’t really know where it was coming from, but I felt like I needed to get myself together. Some how regroup.

“Stepping away isn’t all bad, it’s when we continue to keep going and ignore the signs that we are in need of a fixing”

Just think if I would have waited longer to get my oil changed or not even gone to get my tires done. Thank the Lord that His grace is sufficient for us all.

  1. The desire for companionship or the feeling of being alone
  2. Clarity, not knowing where you are suppose to go or what you should be doing
  3. A lack of interest, feeling disconnected
  4. Unfocused
  5. Life happens
  6. Out of fellowship with Jesus Christ

These are just a few things that can cause us to become out of alignment with God, but the good news is that we can always get back in alignment with Him. We have to surrender our will to His.

John 15:5

“I am the vine, ye are the branches; he who abides in Me and I in him, he bears much fruit, for apart from Me you can do nothing”

Nothing can generate power unless it is connected to a power source.  Even when something is generated by a battery, after awhile even it has to be recharged or it will die .

Not matter what goes on in your life make sure that you stay connected to the source.

Are You Fully Covered?

Yesterday I had to put my car in the shop because my window fell down into the door. It was so jammed inside that they couldn’t even get the panel open. I had just gotten the dealership to fix it a couple of months ago because the motor went out on both sides of the car. Those were not cheap at all. They said, “We will probably need to keep it a couple of days, so we can set you up with a rental car.”  Because they didn’t have any rentals on site they had to use an outside source. When I got to the rental place they failed to tell me all the stuff that I would need like my car insurance information, a deposit and the dealership had it as if I was paying for it when I wasn’t. So as if that wasn’t frustrating enough I called my car insurance to get all the information they needed only to find out that after all these years that I have been paying insurance I wasn’t fully covered. They had me under liability only. RIGHT! I said , “Lord I’m going to need your help today” Luckly I was able to get everything fixed and I had never been in a wreck. God had me covered. It made me think about how people walk around in life uncovered. No morales or values. Could care less if they live or die. No hope at all. I remember one day I was that way until I meet Jesus and made Him Lord over my life. He changed my life forever. When I accepted Him as my Savior I became fully covered under the blood. I became a daughter of the King, joint heir to the throne. What He owns now also belongs to me. The  thorns on his head keeps my in perfect peace when my mind is stayed on him. The blood that he shed covers and protects me from danger seen and unseen. He gave His life that freed me from bondage and sin. It allowed me to walk in freedom and to live life more abundately. Because I accepted Him as Lord over my life if I die today my soul will live forever with Him in paradise. Don’t walk around life under covered. Jesus Christ is life guaranteed.

Don’t Drive on (E)mpty

Give Me You by Shana Wilson

One of the things that I hate most is pumping gas. I will almost run out of gas before I go fill up until one day I actually ran out of gas. I was on my lunch break and my light came on which indicated that I was low on gas. Some cars will either give you a red warning sign or it will make a ding noise to let you know that you need to fill up. I kept ignoring the warning signs thinking I had a little more time. I tried to guess what I could do before I went to go fill up. Something kept telling me to go now, but I was a little ways from a gas station. By the time I decided to listen to the inner voice as I was coming around the corner in heavy traffic my car stopped on me. It put me in a very bad situation. It was hard for me to even get out of my car because of the traffic, I backed up traffic, people were blowing their horns at me and I was embarrassed. I was hoping no one would see me. It’s just like trying to withdrawal money from your bank account that you don’t have. Depending on how you are withdrawing the money out it will either say insufficient funds, declined, or it will put your account in the negative. The end result is that you end up paying more out than you anticipated which could be avoided if we learn how to budget and not over spend. But just like we have to put gas in our car for it to run or to make sure we have available funds in the bank before spending it is the same thing we have to do in order for us to properly function. Have you ever been in a place where you felt bla! to the point of filling tired and empty? In most cases it is because we are running on (E)mpty. We have given out and we haven’t taken the time to be refreshed, restored or renewed. If we continue in this pattern it will cause our bodies to break down, we become sick and at times on the edge of having a nervous break down. You are all that you have and if you don’t take care of your body which is the temple of the Holy Ghost no one else. What good are you to anyone if you are broke down. 3 John 1:2 “Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul proseperth” Don’t get to the point of (E)mpty that you ignore the warning signs that you need to be refilled. #CLEANTHISHOUSE
