What In The World Are You Thinking

Did you know that the very things that you are thinking can either cause you to go back, stay stagnated or to move forward?

Our thoughts are so powerful that they can either be a hinderance or a progress.

Where are you in the process of your thinking?

No matter how much you change your lifestyle, if your frame of mind has not changed you are destined to repeat the cycle. Change your mind, change your life!

You can put someone in a new home, but if their mentality hasn’t changed they won’t appreciate it.

Someone can continually go from relationship to relationship, but if their mentality hasn’t changed they will never be satisfied.

You can move to the other parts of the world, but if your mentality has not changed what you ran from will follow you.

We can get so caught up in changing the outward man with materialistic things, but yet our character still remains the same. Could it be because the way we think has not changed that our inner man remains the same. Are you focusing on the wrong things?

Today’s Word:

Think

  • have a particular opinion , belief, or idea about someone or something
  • direct’s one’s mind toward someone or something; use one’s mind actively to form connected ideas
  • consider the possibility or advantages
  • have a particular mental attitude or approach
  • imagine

Scriptures on Thinking

Every thing that has been created in life began with a thought.  How you process the thought will channel the direction that your life will go in.

A person can be very creative and have great ideas, but if their thoughts don’t motivate them beyond what is in their head those things will never be brought to life.

What is your motivation?

How do you see yourself?

And where do you see yourself?

“We can’t solve problems by using the same kind of thinking we used

when we created them”

Albert Einstein

There have been many times that I have had great ideas in my own life, but the things that I thought towards myself talked me out of them. My own doubt, fears, insecurities and the opinions of other people.

The power to believe in yourself is HUGE!

It wasn’t until the moment that I realized who and whose I was that I started believing in myself. My thoughts begin to change and it has changed the course of my life forever.

It has given me a different out look on life and has changed my perspective on how I look at things. Though I feel like I still have a long way to go, it’s a start and  I never want to go back.

Change Challenge: “Let It Begin In Me” Psalm 51:10

  1. Mindset– the process in the way you think
  2. Focus–  Whatever you focus on becomes a part of you. Focus on those things that will push you forward
  3. Motivation– channel in on the things where you are able to draw strength from so that you can create beyond the ideas, dreams, visions and goals that only stay in your head
  4. Plan– if you do what you have always done, you will get what you have always gotten. Out of your head, onto paper, into reality. Do you need to go in a different direction?
  5. Become- the thing in which God has called you to be.

In order for life to change there has to be a transformation in the way that we think.

GO AFTER IT and BE GREAT!!!!

In May of this year I went on a classroom field trip with one of my girls as a chaperone to the US National Whitewater Center in Charlotte. It was AMAZING, as we were able to go white water rafting, rock climbing, zip lining and so much more. It was getting close where it was time for us to go, but we had enough time to do one more thing. We all decided to do the Hawk Jump. I had never heard of that before and yes it was just like it sounded. When we approached it we were like OMG! You had to climb up at least 13 feet and when you got up to the top you stood on a ledge just like a hawk would before it takes off. Before we went up there they put us in protective gear that would help us in coming down or if anything should happen. In order to get down you had to jump. Looking from where we stood it seemed like it might have been a piece of cake, but you had some kids who would get up there and were scared to jump and wanted to come down. They had some that had been up there for15-20 mins, so they had to go up there to get them because they weren’t coming down. As our group started to go up we would encourage each other. Some were afraid of heights, but faced their fears that day by jumping. There was some who got all the way up and just couldn’t jump, but at least they tried. I was very proud of my group. Well it was my time to go up and everyone was cheering me on. I had never been one to be afraid of heights. You could get me to do just about anything. It wasn’t until I got half way up and decided to look down that I became nervous and to be honest a little afraid. I know now why they didn’t want to go through with it. I got all the way to the top and there was hardly any room to turn around. As I stood there for a moment, fear was starting to set settle in. All I could hear from below was my group telling me to jump and that I could do it. I found myself now having to encourage myself with the same words that I had given to everyone else. As I reflected back on this moment today the thought came to mind that some people will never take flight with their dreams , visions, etc because they get stuck on the ledge, fearful of the jump. What if I don’t make it? What if I mess up? What if, what if, what if? 2 Timothy 1:7 “For God has not given us the spirit of fear, but of love power and of a sound mind” You can never fly unless you jump. When the Eagle teaches their babies how to fly they take them high up in the sky and they drop them, but they never let them touch the ground. They continue this process until the baby begins to fly on its own. Sometimes we delay our process because of the fear of the unknown, but God said that he would never leave us nor forsake us and he would always lead us in the right path if you would only trust him with each step. Stop trusting in your own ability or inability to fly. Trust God and jump.

I was driving to work this morning and I ended up behind a handicapped bus and the 1st thing that came to my mind was they are going to take forever. The Lord reminded me of my impatience and my wrong perception. I immediately asked the Lord to forgive me. My mind then went to a conversation me and my spiritual son had last night. At the age of 12 he had a gun shot wound to his head. I remember it as if it were yesterday. I was an Administrator at a Home Health Agency at the time. The Dr’s gave him zero chance of survival. They said if he survived he would be a vegetable the rest of his life. He would have to feed from a tube, never able to talk or having any feeling in his body. It is 6 yrs later and though he is paralyzed I was able to hold a 2 hr conversation with him. He can just about eat anything he wants, he no longer has a trach, he still has some sensations in parts of his body, he is back in school and is graduating this yr. He still has the desire to go off to school to be a lawyer. I encouraged him to look beyond his present condition and go for it. In life our situations and circumstances will change, but it doesn’t change the call or the anointing God has placed on your life. We may have to go another way and it may even take a little longer to get there, but with God ALL things are possible. Philippians 1:6 “Being confident of this very thing, that he who has begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ” Don’t allow your circumstances to disable you, cripple you or handicap you from fulfilling the purpose of God in your life. #CLEANTHISHOUSE
