What In The World Are You Thinking

1514569002928526782707.jpg

Did you know that the very things that you are thinking can either cause you to go back, stay stagnated or to move forward?

Our thoughts are so powerful that they can either be a hinderance or a progress.

Where are you in the process of your thinking?

No matter how much you change your lifestyle, if your frame of mind has not changed you are destined to repeat the cycle. Change your mind, change your life!

You can put someone in a new home, but if their mentality hasn’t changed they won’t appreciate it.

Someone can continually go from relationship to relationship, but if their mentality hasn’t changed they will never be satisfied.

You can move to the other parts of the world, but if your mentality has not changed what you ran from will follow you.

We can get so caught up in changing the outward man with materialistic things, but yet our character still remains the same. Could it be because the way we think has not changed that our inner man remains the same. Are you focusing on the wrong things?

Today’s Word:

Think

  • have a particular opinion , belief, or idea about someone or something
  • direct’s one’s mind toward someone or something; use one’s mind actively to form connected ideas
  • consider the possibility or advantages
  • have a particular mental attitude or approach
  • imagine

Scriptures on Thinking

Every thing that has been created in life began with a thought.  How you process the thought will channel the direction that your life will go in.

A person can be very creative and have great ideas, but if their thoughts don’t motivate them beyond what is in their head those things will never be brought to life.

What is your motivation?

How do you see yourself?

And where do you see yourself?

“We can’t solve problems by using the same kind of thinking we used

when we created them”

Albert Einstein

There have been many times that I have had great ideas in my own life, but the things that I thought towards myself talked me out of them. My own doubt, fears, insecurities and the opinions of other people.

The power to believe in yourself is HUGE!

It wasn’t until the moment that I realized who and whose I was that I started believing in myself. My thoughts begin to change and it has changed the course of my life forever.

It has given me a different out look on life and has changed my perspective on how I look at things. Though I feel like I still have a long way to go, it’s a start and  I never want to go back.

Change Challenge: “Let It Begin In Me” Psalm 51:10

  1. Mindset– the process in the way you think
  2. Focus–  Whatever you focus on becomes a part of you. Focus on those things that will push you forward
  3. Motivation– channel in on the things where you are able to draw strength from so that you can create beyond the ideas, dreams, visions and goals that only stay in your head
  4. Plan– if you do what you have always done, you will get what you have always gotten. Out of your head, onto paper, into reality. Do you need to go in a different direction?
  5. Become- the thing in which God has called you to be.

In order for life to change there has to be a transformation in the way that we think.

GO AFTER IT and BE GREAT!!!!

Unlocking Your Potential

“Jesus said unto him, If you can believe; all things are possible to him who believes”

Mark 9:23

Lack of Power Mark 9:14-29

Pos-si-bil-i-ty

  • The fact or state of being possible
  • Something that is possible
  • One that is capable or of being made real
  • Potentially for favorable or interesting results

The other day I was watching the Iron Man, which I have seen multiple times, but this time God showed me something that I had never  noticed before. This was the beginning of Iron Man and how he became who he was created to be.

He inherited a multi-million dollar company that was passed on to him after the death of his father. He was then expected to live out the legacy of his father, but not what was on the inside of him. His fathers best friend who was helping with the company had corrupted the company and even set out to kill him so that he wouldn’t find out and then inheriate the company for himself. He didn’t know until he almost lost his life.

The very thing that tried to kill you, can also be the very thing that saves your life

It was through this life experience that he was changed and he realized who he was created to be.  Against all odds and against what others wanted him to do or be, when he tapped into his potential he didn’t allow anything to hold him back to where they left him.

People will expect you to be where they dropped you, but they don’t realize that by the time they try to come through looking for you again (the old you), you will no longer be in that place where they left you. And they have the nerve to even get mad. lol

Potential known, but never realized is like a dream that never comes true

He knew that he had potential, but never realized his true potential until this life experience altered his perspective and the way he thought about things.

There were three things that I noticed that he had to do in order to accomplish his goal.

  1. hide “He that dwelleth in the secret place” Pslams 91:1  He got out of the eye of the public and went down into his secret room where he works. Sometimes we have to let go of some people and things so God can do the work within us.
  2. focused “Seek ye first the Kingdom” Matthew 6:33 He didn’t let others, but those he trusted know what he was working on. Even in the ones he told, he told them very little.  He wouldn’t stop until it was just right.  And when it didn’t work he went back to the drawing board.  It is hard to focus and complete anyone thing if our hand is in too many pots.
  3. finish it “Being confident in this one thing” Philippians 1:6  He didn’t let anyone persuade and deter him from what he knew he needed to do. He was confident, he didn’t give up when it seemed hard, her perservered and he didn’t stop until it was complete. Even upon completetion he still continued to build upon it and improve himself.

Everyone has potential, but most of the time the potential is never brought to fruition because we are looking to the wrong source or in the wrong things. Until you let go the of the expectations of other people, you will never be able to live out what God has called and created you to be.

When you can tap into what God’s plan is for your life, there is nothing that can hinder nor stop you unless you allow it to.

God will always finish what he has started, but we have participate in the process and do the work.  Somethings are never completed or have not yet come to past, not always due to the things that have happened in our life, but because we want to do our part.

“Faith without works is dead” James 2:26

Live out your full potential in God. GO AFTER IT!!!!!

The Closed Door

It so easy to thank and praise God for the open doors. As we consider those doors favor or an opportunity that we know only he could have done.

BUT……….

What about the doors that God  chooses to close?

When one door closes, another opens; but we often look so long so regretfully upon the closed door that we do not see the one which has opened for us.

Aleander Graham Bell

We confess it with out our mouth, but do we really and truely believe that? If we sincerely believed that, why is to so hard to move forward?

Sometimes we can’t even see the opened door because we are so focused on the door that has closed. Normally it happens suddenly, out of no where and in most cases at the time that it can’t be explained.  When we become emotionally attached, phsycially bond, spiritually connected to certain things and or people when that season has ended it is hard to close that door because we are still attached.

Times will pass and seasons will come and go

Roy Bean

Reason for closed doors:

  • Season Ends
  • God has something better
  • We won’t do it
  • We opened the wrong door
  • Not recognizing the reason for the opened door (misused the purpose)
  • Protection

Through life experiences I have realized that their were a lot of doors that needed to be closed, because it would have caused destruction in my life. There were some doors I should have left closed and because I failed to listen to God it wreaked havoc in my life. Some doors are also seasonal, but because of our attachment to the season we miss it or in most cases ignore the signs that the seasons have passed. Some doors God has to physically close for us because we won’t do it.  Those are normally the ones that close in what seems unexpectedly.

When you know the signifigance of a closed door, you wouldn’t be so distraught over the ones that do. protection + purpose = better

It makes me appreciate the open doors, but I have even more appreciation for the closed ones. It is in those that I know God is looking out for me. As painful as it can sometimes be, it was a blessing in disguise. What turns out to initally look like a bad thing, actually turned out to be good one.

“And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose”

Romans 8:28

“For I am persuaded” Romans 8

I am so grateful for all of the open doors and continued doors that he allows in my life. Favor and opportunities that had he not granted them to me I would have not made it this far.  I would diffently not be where I am today.  But, when I begin to think about all the doors God closed on my behalf I get happy.  Just think about all the doors that have been closed on your behalf that you know nothing about. I am thankful for his grace, but I am also grateful for his mercy.

Strength For The Journey

wp-1491352382256.jpg

“He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength. Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall: But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint”

Isaiah 40:29-31

Can I tell you how happy I am now that Spring has finally decided to arrive. I thought that it would never get here.  The only thing though is that along with that comes allergy season.  You also don’t know how to prepare yourself with what to wear from day to day, because the weather is back and forth. I guess I would rather deal with that than snow.

So, I look at the weather every morning and try to gauge what to wear.  As simple as that may sound, it isn’t. As you know mother nature has a mind of her own and will switch up at any given moment without a notice. The only thing you can do is try to be prepared and then adjust with whatever may happen.

Don’t allow the reality of where you are now, cause you to miss out on your destiny to where you are going

Today’s word:

delay

  • postpone or defer an action
  • a period of time by which something is late or delayed
  • to put off until a later time

In life’s journey it can be very fickle and can change on you in a heartbeat. It can sometimes be very long, hard, tiring and can cause a lot of delays. What I have come to realize is that God will always give you strength for the journey. I know sometimes our strength fails us, but when we can rely on his strength we are then able to make it through.

“Wait on the LORD: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait,                    I say, on the Lord”

Psalm 27:14

Recently, my daughters and I were on our way to Los Angeles to visit my oldest daughter. This was their very 1st time flying.  Our flight was suppose to leave at 2:45 p.m. Every 30 mins we kept getting a notification that our flight had been delayed. It is a little easier when the delay is 30 mins to an hour.  But what happens when your delays turn into days, weeks or even years?  It wasn’t until 7 hours later that we were able to board the flight, which was 10:45 p.m. This meant that we would not get into L.A. until a little after 2:00 a.m., which was 5:00 a.m. our time. As frustrating, overwhelming and unbearable that was at times, somehow while I was waiting I was reassured through my faith that if my delay is designed by God then he sitll has a purpose and a plan.

Your delays don’t mean that you won’t ever get to your destination, just that it’s going to take a little bit longer than you anticipated.

I believe our biggest frustration comes in the moments when we are delayed along the journey.  That holding and waiting period when we don’t know what to do or where to go. We know that the season has passed, but yet God hasn’t given us direction on where we need to go.

The frustration, the overwhelming feeling we get from being impatient, tiredness, discomfort, etc. can sometimes come when we don’t know how to utilize the time we have while we wait. Could it be that God  is trying to get your attention because he needs your time, that he wants to speak to you or maybe there is something he is trying to do in you and through you?

I have never had to wait that long in an airport especially when weather wasn’t involved. To come and find out our delay was all because we didn’t have a flight crew. Like what, are you serious, how can you not have a flight crew?  What we may call a delay is perfect timing for God.  Is doesn’t mean it won’t happen, just not yet.  God protects the things that he loves. Later finding out the the tornado storms that happened during the week caused other flights to be delayed, cancelled or them being at the airport for almost 3 days. It caused others to work overtime, which also caused conflict with the scheduling of other flights. Someone else always has it worst off than you.  It made me be more appreciative for where I am.  Thank God for clearing the way before I got there.

Though the journey is unpredictable and sometimes the mountains are hard to climb, his GRACE is sufficient

“And he said unto me, My grace is sufficients for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness.                                                Most gladly therefore will I rather flory in  my infirmitis,                                                              that the power of Christ may rest upon me”

2 Corinthians 12:9

I realize that no matter what I go through in this journey that God is always there for me and that he will never lead me astray.  It is for me to trust him even when I don’t understand, when I can’t quite see or even when I don’t know exatcly what to do. In those times that I am waiting or even delayed to not allow it overwhelm me or frustrate me because I know he is yet preparing me as he is clearing the way for me to make it safely through.

So many loose out in the journey because they get lost in the destractions that are on the side of the road.  They try to do it on their own and don’t totally trust in the God in which they say they serve.

This journey requires that we trust in a God that we can’t physically see, but yet we know that he is there. Above all, that we STAY FOCUSED on his plan for our life. Turning over our control and will to allow him to lead.

LYRICS:

If in your life you are going through

And you don’t know really what to do

Just call on Jesus, he will see you through

For he knows, Jesus he knows

How much we can bear

If there are trials that have come your way

And you are looking for a brighter day

Just call on Jesus, he will make away

For he knows,  Jesus he knows

How much we can bear

Strategic Moves

“I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go:
I will guide thee with mine eye”

Psalms 32:8

Growing up I would always watch my father and his friends play chest. They would sit there for hours at time. You could see the seriousness on their faces, as they were very careful about the moves they would make. My father would try to teach me how to play, but I just couldn’t get it. It just seemed too complicated, so I never learned how to play.

It wasn’t until a couple of months ago that I became interested while I was doing a photo shoot  that involved chest, where we had to pretend like we were playing.  So I could at least look like I knew what I was doing, I asked my opponent if he could teach me how to play. It ended up not being as hard as I thought.

If you have veered yourself off the goal, reset your eyes

Today’s Word

move

verb

  • go in a specified direction or manner; change position
  • change the place or position of
  • take action
  • make progress; develop in a particular manner or direction

The object to playing chest is to make sure you are able to get to the other side without your King being taken.  Each piece has a certain roll that they play. Depending on the moves that you make it will either advance you forward or cause your men to be captured and you loosing the game.  The goal is to get to the other side.

Negative things that we can be led by:

“Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths”

Proverbs 3:5-6 Proverbs Chapter-3

Every decision you make today will affect your tomorrow, so be wise in the decisions that you make today

In life you are going to be faced with many obstacles and challenges that will cause you to have to make some very tough choices and decisions. Depending on the choices that you make it will either advance you to the next level that God has designed for you or it will push you further behind.

When we have a relationship with Jesus Christ, know his voice and follow his plan, we will not be so easily led astray.  It is important that we maintain a strong relationship with him and that we become strengthen through his word and through prayer. Continuing to go back to be restored and healed is escentual, that we may be able to hear him clearly and aren’t led away by our own emotions.

God said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you” and he sends his angels to surround us as a sheild of protection. So no matter what we go through or face, as long as we stay under his covering we will always be protected.

In those times when we feel like he has left us, he hasn’t. Sometimes it is that we have strayed away from the path and or his presence. The good news is that we can always get back on track.

Get Back On Track

For awhile now I have noticed that my car sometimes veers off to one side and I would have to take control of my steering wheel to get it back on track.

The other day I went to go get my oil changed and the macanic told me that it was time for some new tires, which I was aware of. He said that after I get my tires I would need to come back and get an aligment because my car was off balance really bad, which was causing my front tires to tread from the inside out and not the outside in. He said if I didn’t get them done soon, they could blow out on me at any moment, which is dangerous. I knew I needed some tires, but  I had no idea that my tires were that bad. So I went the next day to get them replaced.

“No matter how out of line you think your life maybe, you can always get back on track. Pull yourself over, get yourself together and reroute”

Today’s Word

a-lign-ment  Scriptures

n.

  1. Arrangement or position in a straight line or in parallel lines.
  2. The process of adjusting parts so that they are in proper relative position.
  3. The condition of having parts so adjusted.
  4. The act of aligning or the condition of being aligned.

Luke 13:10-17 “The Cripple Woman Made Whole”

Here this woman had no name, there was no talk about her past life. All we know is that she had been bent over for 18 years and the Lord healed her of her infirmities.

Sometimes in life we can become so accustom to our condition that we accept it as the norm. We may not be physically bent over, but over a period of time our spirit man has become crippled on the inside and unable to lift itself up.

Psalm 119:133-136

“Order my steps in thy word: and let not any iniquity have dominion over me. Deliver me from the oppression of man: so will I keep thy precepts. Make thy face to shine upon thy servant; and teach me thy statutes. Rivers of waters run down mine eyes, because they keep not thy law”

Have you ever felt a little off balance or maybe a little discombobulated?  To be honest I have felt that way recently. I didn’t really know where it was coming from, but I felt like I needed to get myself together. Some how regroup.

“Stepping away isn’t all bad, it’s when we continue to keep going and ignore the signs that we are in need of a fixing”

Just think if I would have waited longer to get my oil changed or not even gone to get my tires done. Thank the Lord that His grace is sufficient for us all.

OUT OF ALIGNMENT

  1. The desire for companionship or the feeling of being alone
  2. Clarity, not knowing where you are suppose to go or what you should be doing
  3. A lack of interest, feeling disconnected
  4. Unfocused
  5. Life happens
  6. Out of fellowship with Jesus Christ

These are just a few things that can cause us to become out of alignment with God, but the good news is that we can always get back in alignment with Him. We have to surrender our will to His.

John 15:5

“I am the vine, ye are the branches; he who abides in Me and I in him, he bears much fruit, for apart from Me you can do nothing”

Nothing can generate power unless it is connected to a power source.  Even when something is generated by a battery, after awhile even it has to be recharged or it will die .

Not matter what goes on in your life make sure that you stay connected to the source.

Are You Willing To Launch Into The Deep

One day my mom was telling me how when I was around 2 or 3 years old they took me and my sister to the pool to swim or more like play in the water. The next thing they heard was this big splash and they saw me trying to fight my way up. Of course my mother panicked because she didn’t know how to swim so she had to get someone else to help get me out of the water. My mom said that the last time she saw me I was at the top of the steps. She turned her back for a split second and I decided to jump in. I couldn’t only imagine what my mom was feeling. I’m not sure what made me just jump out into the deep not knowing how to swim. I’ve always been a little fish when it comes to water and to this day it is where I like to go to find peace and strength. When God bided Peter to come to him and he began to walk out on the water as if to having a kids like faith, but all of a sudden he began to sink. It wasn’t the fact that the storm around him was so great but it was the fact that he took his eyes off of Jesus. There are situations and circumstances that will happen and in most cases out of no where. There was no warning though we thought, no point of reference of why or even how, but no matter how unstable your surroundings faith never takes its eyes off of the one it seeks. If you feel like you are sinking then who is the one that you seek. Even if you feel yourself you still have time to cry out HELP! #CLEANTHISHOUSE
