Alive in Him

Declaration:
I AM dead to sin and alive to God in Christ
Romans 6:1-11 “Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord”

When I accepted Jesus Christ into my life as my personal Savior not only was I forgiven of sin, but I made him Lord over my life. I gave him full control and reign. As a daughter of the King that means I now have to walk in the image of my father and though his grace is sufficient for me, but it doesn’t give me the right to take advantage of it nor give me the right to do what I want to do. Every day I have to continue to die to myself (my flesh), I have to turn over my will to his. There is a war going on within me between my flesh and my spirit and the one I continue to strengthen will overcome and win. Even in times when I become weak the strength of the Lord sustains me to do his will. We think it’s sooo hard to serve him, but it’s much harder to recover when we continue in sin. As a reflection of the King as he is than so am I. I am alive and I am free. Though I am not all the way there yet and eventhough I struggle and I make mistakes I don’t stay where I am. Every day I continue to strive to be the image of my father because I AM the daughter of the King.

Undeserving Grace

Yesterday me and some of the ladies from my Life Group went to the mall to volunteer for the Angel Tree through The Salvation Army and after we were through from there we went to grab something to eat. We were sitting there talking and getting caught up with each other from the week and our waiter came over to start taking our order. I had asked him a question about a particular item that I normally get and wanted to see if I could substitute  something since I have a gluten allergy. I have been there several times, but I didn’t want to make the assumptions that they would still allow me to do so. Right off the bat the waiter was very argumentive and wasn’t really listening to what I was saying. To avoid a scene and making a big deal about it I decided to drop it and was like ok it’s cool. He still kept going on about it after I had dropped it and decided to go ask his manager. We were all in unbelief that he just did all of that. So in trying to enjoy the rest of the evening here he comes again. His approach was off, he was rude and still agrumentive. When he walked away I said yeah he just lost his tip. I am a firm believer in basing your tip off of your customer service. It took us forever before we even received our food and he didn’t even come and check on us or let us know how things were going. When we finally got our food mine was not at all how I asked for it be nor how I would normally receive it. At this point I was really unhappy with the service. The waiter came back and said so everything is good instead of asking was it good. I began to explain to him what was wrong and he immediately made an assumption and went back to our 1st conversation when what I was talking about now was totally different. Again he was being agrumentive and he wasn’t listening. At this point they would normally have their manager come over and he just walked off. One of the ladies asked one of the other waiters for the manager. The manager came over and we explained our dissatisfaction. He apologized and explained his follow up process.  The one thing that stuck out the most is when he said, “because I see potential in him instead of throwing him away I will use this as a teaching moment to train and groom him into what I see and how it should be.” Immediately my mind went to Grace. 2 Corinthians 12:9 “And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me” As we were preparing to leave one of the ladies said what should I give as a tip. I told her what to give and I told them God said grace. According to how he served us he didn’t deserve it, but neither do we. He still has to live. One lady didn’t agree due to her prior experience being a waitress, but the difference is we are in Christ and we don’t think nor approach as the world does. That doesn’t mean that we agree with his action, but that we allow God to deal with him by our acts of grace. At that moment I realized just how much God’s grace is to me. I am so undeserving of his love, his grace and his mercy, but yet he still gives it to me. To whom much is given much is required. As much as God has given to us holds the same truth that we should extend to others as we are suppose to be the mirror image of Jesus Christ.

You Are The Original Copy

I went back to work thinking that I was better after being in the bed for four days with flu like symptoms. I probably received it fom my daughter who was sick the week before or it could be the fact that I work at a Doctors office where the flu is running rapid.  I always make sure to follow the correct procedures with keeping my hands washed and santizied, but it never fails when any of my kids are sick especially when their is vomiting involved I am bond to become sick too. As I tried to find the strength to work that day I felt me going fast as I barely had the strength to operate, so I went to see one of the Doctors and they immediately sent me back home for two more days with flu like symptoms.  I didn’t complain at all because the way I was feeling that’s exactly where I needed to be. I finally got home and got right back up under my covers and fell fast a sleep. I found myself In this room where it looked like people were being worked on and recreated. I kept seeing these pictures of me the past, present and the future. It was as if God was working on me, but yet there I stood watching it happen.  I asked God why are there so many images of me and he replied  I am creating you into what you shall be and I am sending these images ahead of you.  You are an original piece, you are copywritten.   I have all the rights to you and no matter how people may try to distort or try to duplicate your image they can never change the original copy. Psalms 139:14 “You are wonderfully and fearfully” I am taking all of pieces of your life  and making a master piece called “You”. Then I woke up and all I could remember is “You are an original copy”. We were all created here for a unique purpose and we are no accidient no matter how we may have gotten here.  NO MATTER where you may find yourself today God has a plan just for you. Not only were you created to give God glory, but you were created to make a difference and change right where you are. Sometimes the 1st change begans with us.  Maybe you have lost who you are, maybe you don’t even know who you are all. It is NEVER to late to began again and find out who you were created it to be. Jeremiah 29:11 “For I know the thoughts that I think towards you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end”
