They always say that one man’s trash is another man’s treasure. What one person see’s value in another person may not see the same; therefore, is easily disregarded. When I look at the things that are going on in this world it can be a little disharding and painful as there is little regard for God let alone someone’s else life. Mark 12:31 “Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these” It is hard to love your neighbor when you don’t love yourself. They say love will make you do some crazy things, but what kinda of love is it that makes you come out of character and loose yourself enough to bring harm to others. Is it really love? Love should not make you hurt someone else let alone kill them. Killing isn’t always physical. God knows we do enough damage with our tongue. If you have no love for others then you don’t love yourself. 2 Timothy 4:3 “For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;” I believe that we are in the end times and the saying “it may get worse before it gets better” is going to hold true, yet I still believe. You may ask how can I believe with what I see? Faith allows me to look with another set of eyes that looks past the things I can see in the natural and that gives me hope. There are so many levels and reasons why people do what they do, but it is very clear that it’s root is the value of one’s life. When you don’t love and value who you are then neither will you love and value the life of someone else. You spend you’re life trying to find it through other people who’s concept of love is already distorted. That in itself is enough to make you crazy. How can one love and value who they are if they don’t even know? The good news is your worth isn’t wrapped up in other people. Through the word of God you can find out exactly who and whose you are and the true meaning of love. 1 Peter 2:9 “But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light;” When we mirror ourselves after the image of God then and only then will we truly know who we are. You only decrease in value when you don’t know your worth. Knowing who you are is EVERYTHING!

Hidden To Be Found
I have never been much of a breakfast person although I love to cook and prepare it. They say that it is one of the most important meals of the day as it starts your day with a well balanced meal that supplies adequate protein, carbohydrates and fiber. It also fuels you up and prepares you for each day. The older I become the more healthier I want to be. So now I have purposed to try and eat breakfast every morning even if it just consists of fruit, which I love. As I was in the grocery store the other day I decided that I wanted to try something different and I chose the pomegranate. I have never had the actual fruit by itself. I talked with some of my co-worker’s to get their opinions on it and their answers were all the same, that they love it. They for warned me that the seeds are hidden, hatd to get to and it is very time consuming to get them out, but it is worth it. I was so excited that I even went on youtube to watch a video explaining the best way to open it. I wanted to make sure as my first time that I did it correctly. I had talked about it so much that I decided to give it a try and I did just as I was instructed by the video. I was amazed at how many seeds there were in that one fruit alone. There had to be a hundreds of seeds in there and their colors are so bright. My co-worker’s were right it wasn’t easy to get to them and they were hidden and protected by what is called the membrane. You had to be very careful when pulling them out and apart so that you didn’t bust the juice out of the seeds. Around the seed was this gel like substance which held the juice inside that surrounded the seed and it was protected by another coat that you had to bust it open in order to get to the inside. Some of them were embedded very deep, but once I tasted them it was worth the trouble of going to find them. As I was continuing with this process the scripture that came to mind was Proverbs 18: 22 “He who finds a wife finds a good thing and obtains favor from the Lord” When you think about the word “FIND” it means a discovery of something valuable or succeed in obtaining. In order for something to be found it has to first be lost. If we are not lost, how do we expect him “BOAZ” to find us. Forcing yourself to be noticed will not only cause more hurt, more damage, but for you to be overlooked. Our goal as women is not to search nor claiming every man that comes a long our path to be the one. If we hold no value in ourselves and aren’t preparing ourselves to be “RUTH” how do we expect them to. We attract what we are. Have you hidden yourself enough to be found? Good things don’t come easy they are very hard to get, but worth it once found.
You Are Worth It
Life has a way of tearing you apart to the point that even to yourself you become unrecognizable. Have you ever looked at yourself in the mirror one day and wondered “Who Am I” Sometime’s it isn’t until everything that you once depended on has been removed or to the point of rock bottom that you finally step away from the scene to refocus, re-evaluate your life as you find yourself of needing to hit the reset button and began again. As easy as we would hope that could be it isn’t as easy as it seems. When you have lost your identity through faults, failures, mistakes, opinions of other people while trying to fit in where they thought you should or who they wanted you to be and even when they created you they still didn’t want you. The process that you have to go through while on the road to recovery, healing, restoration and finding who you are again can be long and painful but is necessary for you to find your true identity and to be able to move forward in your life. The great thing is that in this journey and quest to finding out who you really are and who you were created to be doesn’t have to be done alone. Deuteronomy 31:6 “Be strong and of a good courage, fear not, nor be afraid of them: for the Lord thy God, he it is that doth go with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee” It is when you seek your identity through the eyes of God and not through the eyes of man that you will find out who you really are. I know that life has thrown you some unexpected blows or it could even be that you are in a place because of poor choices and bad decisions that you have made in your life, but you are never to far down that God can not reach you and you can never be to far removed to still receive his grace. 2 Corinthians 12:9 “And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me” No matter how many people have left you, abandoned you, dropped you, said you were nothing, would never be nothing or amount to anything God simply wanted me to remind you that YOU ARE WORTH IT and if you still have doubt or need more clarification that he does, remember that he died on the cross just for you and me. No matter what you’ve done, what’s been done to you or where you have been YOU ARE WORTH IT. You are never to broken or too damaged beyond repair. God still has need of thee, YOU ARE WORTH IT!
Don’t Sale Yourself Short
I was having a conversation with my daughter yesterday and she asked me the question, Mom if you could buy a tablet for $50 or $60 would you? I then replied, No. She then asked me, Why not? I said, Something’s aren’t worth getting at a cheaper price because they don’t last long. She said, Ok.
Don’t get me wrong I am a bargain shopper and love looking for a sale anyway that I can. You know the saying though, “You get what you pay for (invest in) it. If I am going to spend my money or invest my time into something I want it to be worth it. Will what I have invested in last me a long time or will it last forever. As I get older I am wiser at the things I invest in. I need something that has quality, it is durable, it is strong and stands for something. I guess when you have wasted most of your life investing in the wrong things you only invest in the things that will bring longevity to your life, it will add and not take away, it will build you up and not tear you down, it has meaning. Be careful what and who you invest yourself in and don’t sale yourself short. You deserve the very best. YOU ARE WORTH IT!
